Open Source RVA presents:

GET SCHOOLED WITH THE SOURCE! On Friday’s edition of Open Source RVA, host Don Harrison oversees a roundtable discussion about the burning issues surrounding Richmond public schools, including the mayor’s new education compact, and the firing of RPS Superintendent Dana Bedden. Joining in the discussion will be Randolph-Macon College professor and RVAPolitics blogger Richard Meagher, Garet Prior, the founder of Richmond Forward, and Emma Clark from the Support Our Richmond Schools Facebook page. And we’ll escort you to the theatre for the opening of a brand new Curtain Call, the Source’s bi-weekly segment on Richmond’s thriving thespian scene, produced by the Richmond Theater Critics Circle. This week, Jerry Williams of Sifter talks to “Toxic Avenger” director Keith Fitzgerald and “Heathers” director Deb Clinton. All of that PLUS we check in with CHISPA educator Katie Whelan and the kids in Chesterfield County schools’ Gay Student Alliance. SCHOOL IS OUT BUT CLASS IS IN! The Open Source RVA bell rings at 2PM on WRIR 97.3 FM and http://www.wrir.org.
