The Church of the Ecstatic presents:
Tonight, I played tunes exclusively from my art-school-era iPod, a 4gb time capsule I labored over trying to fit everything I wanted to listen to, working in the studio, biking, running to class, going to the gym. It’s reflective of what I was obsessed with from ~2007-2012-ish, and what stuck around.
It was fun reflecting on how much some of these songs are ingrained in my mind, and integral to art pieces I made at the time. Now we have so much music available to us anywhere, anytime – but limitations, whether creative or practical, gives us some structure sometimes.
