Open Source RVA presents:

OPEN SOURCE RVA IS UPSIDE DOWN!! On the tpday’s edition of the Source, heard at noon on WRIR, we talk about how the brilliantly dumb comic strip antics of Nancy and Sluggo is taking over Virginia Commonwealth University. We talk with artist and VCU instructor Kelly Alder, and Chris Pitzer, comics publisher at Adhouse Books, about the special Cabell Library event with artists/authors Paul Karasik and Mark Newgarden on April 2 that will teach us “How to Read Nancy.” And Open Face, our segment on Richmond food and drink, returns. This time out, Piet Jones talks to chef Mike Ledesma, about the restaurant he’s developed for the old Joy Garden space at 2918 West Broad, called Perch RVA. It’s a delicious addition to Scott Addition. All of that, PLUS RVA Dirt’s Melissa Vaughn fills us in on this past Monday’s “boring” Richmond City Council meeting on a new Quick & Dirty Council Roundup. THINK OF THE SOURCE AS AN AUDIO WATER HOSE! Refreshing. Get quenched at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM and http://www.wrir.org.
