Open Source RVA presents:

On Friday’s PACKED edition of Open Source RVA, correspondent Kate Andrews welcomes longtime Richmond journalist Richard Foster, who is hosting a new podcast called “Southern Nightmare: The Hunt for the South Side Serial Killer” that launches May 30th. Working with Style Weekly and WRIR, Foster’s podcast takes an in-depth multi-voiced look at one of RVA’s most chilling crime sprees. And what about the trees? Our own Dina Weinstein talks with Scott Turner of Tru-Timber Tree Care Company about the care and upkeep of Richmond’s majestic roots and branches. We also have a new installment of Curtain Call, produced by the Richmond Theatre Critics Circle. This week, reviewers Susie Haubenstock, Julinda Lewis, Claire Boswell and Jerry Williams discuss Cadence Theatre’s production of Appropriate. Then, Jerry talks with Susie about her background and how she ended up reviewing plays for the Richmond Times-Dispatch. All of that PLUS it’s budget season at Richmond City Council. That means that our council people have a whole lotta ‘splainin’ to do. Hear it all on a new installment of the Quick and Dirty Council Roundup, brought to you by RVA Dirt’s Melissa Vaughan and Jessee Perry. TOO MUCH DANG SHOW FOR YOU? We think you can handle it. Get sourced at noon on WRIR 97.3 and http://www.wrir.org.
