Open Source RVA presents:

GOD, THEATRE, AND HEAVY METAL! We cover the bases on Friday’s edition of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM. Pastor Ryan Ahlgrim of Richmond’s First Mennonite Church joins host Don Harrison to talk about his upcoming series of lectures –“Does God Exist?” — exploring the meaning and relevance of religion. Don and producer Krysti Albus also welcome Valient Himself, lead singer of Valient Thorr, co-owner of the popular new Cobra Cabana restaurant, and the host of an excellent music podcast “Rockknowledgy,” which originates from Richmond. All of that PLUS another installment of Curtain Call, produced by the Richmond Theatre Critics Circle. This week, Julinda D. Lewis and Susie Hirsch Haubenstock discuss Firehouse Theatre’s “Animal Control,” and Jerry Williams interviews Levi Meerovich, Connor Scully and Chandler Matkins about the new version of “Wrong Chopped” which is opening at Firehouse next week. LET THE SOURCE SHINE IN! Friday noon on WRIR 97.3 FM and http://wrir.org.
