On today’s edition of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, host Don Harrison talks about mass shootings in the Commonwealth with Tom Kapsidelis, former Richmond Times-Dispatch editor and the author of “After Virginia Tech: Guns, Safety, and Healing in the Era of Mass Shootings.” The recent Virginia Beach shooting tragedy has prompted Governor Ralph Northam to call a special session on new gun regulations. What can concerned citizens realistically expect? We also speak with comic artist, educator and activist Bizhan Khodabandeh of Mended Arrow Design. This talented and prolific designer tells us about all of his recent projects, including illustrated encounters with actor George Takei and rapper Chuck D of Public Enemy.
