Frequently Asked Questions (about Donating)

1.  How do I donate?

There are two ways to donate:

• Call us at 804-622- WRIR (9747) and make a pledge. One of our volunteers will take down your information.
• Just click on the “Donate Now” link above. That will take you to our secure donation site where you can make a donation using your credit card.

2.  How can I pay for a donation?

• With a phone pledge; you can pay with by Visa or Master card when you call in.
• If you would like to pay by check, simply call in your pledge and our volunteers will tell you how to send your payment to us.
• Online.  You can use either a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or PayPal.

3.  Is there a minimum or maximum donation?

You can donate as much or as little as you would like. However, a donation of $40.00 or more will get you our Spring 2007 WRIR T-shirt featuring the WRIR Logo. Above $40, there is a range of gifts available to you.

4.  How do I get my T-shirt or any other gift?

You can get your donation gift one of three ways.

• If you pay by credit card when you make your pledge, we will mail you your gift before the end of the pledge drive.
• Come by the station between the hours of 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. during the fundraiser and pay your pledge.
• If you cannot make it by the station during the fundraiser, we will mail you your gift once we receive your pledge payment.

5.  What is your privacy policy?

The information you provide when donating is only used to track your pledge and payment.  WRIR will never share your information with any company or organization outside of the station unless you give us your permission at the time that you make your pledge.  We may share collected information with outside organizations (for example, the total number of donors) — but will not share information that allows donors to be individually recognized (e.g., names, mailing addresses, e-mail addresses or phone numbers) without your permission.

If you would like to receive news about the station, you can indicate this when you make your pledge.

6.  Will supporting WRIR take away from other community stations in the area?

No. WRIR is proud to join the ranks of non-profit, community stations in the Richmond area. Our goal is to increase the variety of radio programming available to listeners. We want to increase your choices for radio programming, not compete with existing ones

7  I don't see where I can put my T-Shirt Size in Online

We don't have a box to put in your T-Shirt Size. However, if you have donated enough for a t-shirt, you can enter it into the Fax number or second line of the address. Our processing folks will look for it.
