On Friday, August 6, 75 Richmond young people and five local artists will create mobile murals by painting five construction debris recycling containers. The all-day event, to be held adjacent to CenterStage in the 600 block of East Broad Street, will conclude a two-week summer program led by ART 180 in collaboration with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Richmond, with support from Ace Recycling and CenterStage. The Art of Liberty, now Through Friday, October 15, 2010, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM At the Café Extension. This year marks the 65th anniversary of both Victory in Europe and Victory over Japan. To commemorate the occasions and to honor those who fought oversees and on the home front, The Art of Liberty highlights a few of the WWII posters sent to the Library of Virginia as part of the Federal Depository Library program.
