Have a little extra time to spend listening to some music this summer? Then come hear the Richmond Chamber Players concerts at Bon Air Presbyterian Church August 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th at 3 pm. Interested in seeing one of Shakespeare’s most delightful plays for free? Opening on Friday, August 6th, “As You Like It” will be presented on Richmond’s Northside- outside at 6:30 pm in Battery Park.  Bring a blanket and a picnic dinner. Pre-show entertainment begins at 6pm. Additional showings will be held August 7th, 13th, 14th and 15th.  It is free and open to the public!

 

Come to the Latin Jazz Festival, Saturday August 14th from 1 pm to 7 pm at Dogwood Dell! A variety of live Latin entertainment and presentations will be featured, all for free! Guest DJ’s will be Richmond’s own Eddy Mayorga, Steve Greene and Renee’ Lacey and her Cameo Models.

 

Saturday August 4th from 9 am to 4 pm visit the Saturday Grower’s Market for an eclectic mix of fresh homegrown produce, flowers, plants, baked goods, handmade and homemade products, vintage antiques, collectibles, jewelry, fine crafts and specialty vendors with cultural items for sale! Interested in fashion, but don’t want to pay to learn how to sew? Come to RAJCA Information Center, Saturday August 21 11 am to 1 pm to learn sewing skills and illustrations! Free movie, free popcorn, sounds good, right? Come to Classics in the Courtyard at Richmond’s First Baptist Church, 2709 Monument Avenue every Thursday night in August to enjoy free classic movies, popcorn and bottled water.
