Spring 2011 T-Shirt Design Contest
WRIR 97.3 LP FM announces its Spring 2011 T-shirt design contest to complement the independent radio station’s Spring Fund Drive. From February 1st – March 6th, 2011, WRIR will solicit designs from local as well as national artists. If chosen, the winner’s artwork will appear on the hundreds of T-shirts worn by WRIR supporters each year. The winner will receive WRIR’s top fundraiser package, as well as be credited on-air and online throughout the Fund Drive.
Like 2010, we will only hold ONE t-shirt design contest this year. If you want the chance to have your art on the front of the nicest people in Richmond, be sure to send us your design by March 6th.
DESIGN CRITERIA:
• The following 3 items MUST be included in your design to be considered:
1: “WRIR”
2: “97.3 FM”
3: "Richmond Independent Radio”
The WRIR logo does not have to be on the design, but if you'd like to include it, the files you need can be found at the bottom of this post.

Your design can have a maximum of two colors.

You will be designing for the front of the t-shirt.

Entrants may submit up to 3 designs.

The design cannot violate any copyright laws or existing trademarks.

By submitting your artwork, you give us non-exclusive rights to use the image in the design of a WRIR T-Shirt as well as for other WRIR promotional materials.
Entries will be judged according to the following criteria
1: Originality of the design
2: Composition
3: Overall Impression
All entries will be evaluated by a panel of WRIR judges whose decisions are final and binding on all matters. All prizes may not be awarded in the event an insufficient number of qualified entries are received that meet the minimum standards. The winner will be announced on air and on
http://www.wrir.org at the start of the Spring 2011 Fundraiser.

Each entry must be accompanied with your first and last name, phone number, and valid email address. Your information will NOT be shared or sold to solicitors. Names will only be used to announce the winner or to acknowledge the contest participants.
There are 3 ways to enter:
1: Email your design to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
• Acceptable file formats: EPS, PDF, AI
• Vector art is preferred
• Please embed all fonts used in the design or convert them to outlines
2: Bring your designs to 1621-B West Broad Street. Call WRIR’s Operations Director Julia McCauley at 804.622.9747 to set up a drop off time. Please write “WRIR T-Shirt Challenge” on the envelope.
3: Mail your submission to

THE PRIZE:
The winning design will be printed on the spring fundraiser t-shirt! The winner will receive WRIR's top fundraiser pledge package, PLUS an extra t-shirt. You will also be mentioned on air during the fundraiser!
