WTF: “My God They’re So Gifted” (Wire) presents:
"What the Fontaine?!: You never know what you'll hear next on this fun mix of tunes from across the decades and musical genres."
I had a great time seeing Wire perform live at The Black Cat in DC last night. "My God They're So Gifted" was the repeated refrain from their song "2 People in a Room" (from 3rd LP 154)…and that summed up the night! Drummer Robert Gotobed (Grey) never gave up the beat while Colin Newman & Graham Lewis held down guitar/bass/vocals in great form. Even touring guitarist Matt Simms was pretty cool. So, guess what? Yep, I'm gonna play you four songs they did live last night … plus two Wire covers!
