The Anderson Gallery of Virginia Commonwealth University presents a Wednesday evening Happy Hour program called “Get Fresh: Slow Food RVA with Style Weekly restaurant critic John Haddad” on June 29th from 5 to 7 pm. Celebrate the taste of summer, connect with area growers, and learn about sustainability, biodiversity, and Richmond’s food community– all while sampling locally-produced, seasonal foods. 1708 Gallery is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition — “Illusive Insurgency”, a site-specific mixed media installation by Minnesota artist Liz Miller. The exhibition’s opening reception is on Friday, July 15 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will feature a talk by the artist at 6:30. The exhibition is on view through Saturday, August 20.
