 And I’m _____. During a Silent Music Revival event a classic silent short film is projected while a local band plays music to act as the live soundtrack.

As an added twist the band does not see the film prior the event, and therefore creates an improvised score. On Sunday, January 15th, Silent Music Revival presents Now You Tell One, with musical score by Nick Coward and the Last Battle. The Congregation Or Ami Book Club will discuss Away, by Amy Bloom, in which a Jewish emigrant from Russia to New York travels across America toward Siberia to search for her long-lost daughter. On Friday, January 6th, from 6 to 10:30 PM in conjunction with Richmond's First Friday Art Walk, Gallery5 is pleased to present the openings of two brand new exhibitions on display until Saturday, February 18th. In the main gallery: Invisible Weight: A series of paintings by Sean Mahan will be on display. The craft gallery will hold Moving Moments: A solo exhibition of works by Erin Tobey. Social Life in the Confederacy is the topic of the “Brown Bag Lunch” to be held at the Museum of the Confederacy on Friday, January 20, from 12–12:30 PM.  This month’s speaker is Kelly Hancock, Manager of Education and Programs at the Museum of the Confederacy. No RSVP is required. Congregation Or Ami presents an event in honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  “Reel Theology:” Crown Heights, a film about conflict between the Orthodox Jewish and African American communities in a Brooklyn neighborhood.
