“Now We Are Dads"

Neil Patrick Harris, who starred on the hit show, “How I Met Your Mother,” and partner David Burtka announced on Twitter that on October 12, 2010 they had become proud papas of twins – a boy and a girl. The babies were born using a surrogate and welcomed into the Burtka-Harris household as Gideon Scott and Harper Grace.
Neil and David, who had been together since 2004, had announced in August that they were expecting twins.
In a joyous Twitter message they said, “We’re super excited/nervous/thrilled. All of us are happy, healthy, tired, and a little pukey.” Two days later, the dads were still adjusting to the babies bawling.
Alysin Hannigan, co-starring with Neil Patrick Harris in “How I Met Your Mother,” told People magazine, “Those are going to be two lucky babies.”
