American figure skating champion Johnny Weir married his Russian boyfriend, Victor Voronov, in a New York City courthouse on New Years Eve, 2011. He tweeted to his over 100,000 followers, “I’m married. No more livin’ in sin!” Attending the short ceremony were the couple’s loving parents, Patti and John Weir and Tony and Lili Voronov, who heard them exchange their handwritten vows.

While they plan to take the new surname Weir-Voronov, in the skating world Johnny will still be known as Johnny Weir. According to Weir’s representative, the couple will have a large wedding in July 2012 to celebrate with family and friends.

In a statement, Weir said,  “I look forward to making a home for my family in Bergen County, New Jersey, and introducing my world of glitter and Faberge eggs to Victor.”
