Tonight, HHTT explores the discordant beauty encapsulated within the many stylings of free-form Jazz. It can be found in the polyrhythmic structures of Meshuggah and Fusion-era Miles Davis, the atonal waves of sound from McCoy Tyner and latter-day Coltrane, or the sheer insanity permeating through the spastic movements of Mr. Bungle and the Dillinger Escape Plan. The overarching influence that these majesties of exploration have bestowed upon the world of heavy music cannot be overstated, and I thank them dearly for it.
