-“Nineteenth Century French & Russian Art: Works from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts” through April 29th. Joel & Lila Harnett Museum of Art, University of Richmond.
Curated by U of R student members of the class What Is Art For?, this exhibit contains 19th & 20th century Russian & French paintings from a VMFA collection
never publically displayed before. The students wrote the exhibits wall text and are serving as tour guides. Admission is free.
The Joel & Lila Harnett Museum is located in the University of Richmonds’ Modlin Center, 28 Westhampton Way.

-Musical/Recording Industry Open Forum at Neighborhood Resource Center. Tuesday, March 18th, 6:30-7:30pm.
Drew Gingras, studio manager of Guitar Center of Richmond, hosts a series of free lectures/ forums to help local artists grow into successful businesses.
Topics include: bookkeeping, promotion, networking, setting up tours, copyright, social media, recording tips, stage presence and how to be competitive in the music industry.
The floor will be opened up for question & answer following each presentation. Classes are limited to 20 people and admission is free. Contact the center to reserve a spot.
