December 15 – 19, WRIR Community Calendar
1) Explore the world of computers and video games through Science After Dark at the Science Museum of Virginia on Friday, December 19, from 5 to 9 p.m.

Step into the Dome at 6:30 for a Cosmic Expedition and stay for a special showing of War Games at 8 p.m.  Venture outside to stargaze with the Richmond Astronomical Society or enjoy three floors of interactive exhibits.

2) Enjoy the lights and glitter of Monument Avenue decked out for the holidays with the Valentine Museum’s most popular after dark walking tour – Holiday Glitter: Monument After Dark Walking Tour.  The tour will take place on December 26 and 27, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

3) The Visual Arts Center of Richmond presents the exhibition TABLE through January 11, 2015.  TABLE presents contemporary craft by artists using ceramics, glass, wood, fiber and metal, inspired by traditional dining furniture and service ware.

TABLE includes both curated pieces and original works made for this exhibition by six artists who explore themes of mass production, social class, domestic history, and family relationships, as well as the art and design of dining service wares and furniture.
