Open Source RVA presents:

LOW ELF ESTEEM? Get a jolt of the holidays with the annual Yulelog edition of Open Source RVA. featuring seasonal readings, skits, songs and greetings from the Source family and friends. On Friday’s show, the amazing Scott Wichmann reads Clement Clarke Moore’s “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” and does some “comedy” with RVA Dirt’s Melissa Vaughn and the Open Source RVA Holiday Art Players. Then Piet Jones of Open Face gives listeners a special, and very personal, holiday Salmon recipe, and we go back to the archives and present mayoral advisor Jon Baliles reciting G.K. Chesterton’s “A Christmas Carol,” and political gadfly Paul Goldman reading “Three Kings” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. We also feature holiday music from Ceci Hull’s boys, Metallica, The Roches, the Louvin Brothers, Vince Guaraldi Trio, Mormon Tabernacle Choir, the Smithereens… and Herschel Stratego. All of that PLUS all of the stupid Christmas radio plays we’ve done with the Open Source RVA Holiday Art Players (Kate Andrews, Amy Daniel, Gabi Stone, Chris Dovi, Jesse Johnson, Baylen Forcier, Jay Westermann, Krysti Albus, Tina Eshleman, Mike McKenzie and the returning Olivia Page Harrison) since we’ve been on the air BE CAREFUL WITH THAT MISTLETOE, EUGENE! It’s the Open Source RVA Yulelog Spectacular, today at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM and http://www.wrir.org.
