End Of The Century presents:
.
Have you ever grabbed a pickle from the jar only to find your ridiculous hand is too big to now exit the jar now that the pickle you just got is inside it? You could give up and just let the pickle go. Or you could PUNCH THE CONCRETE and SMASH THAT JAR TO BITS, DEAR DIARY. You can never know what might happen. Look, what I’m trying to say is: let me tell you a story.
Once upon a time some people grew up on a small planet God probably didn’t notice (because he mainly just liked gluing the sparkles into space) and boy did THEY have a pickle. But they punched the concrete hard one day sometime around like the year 1900 when they started having art. See it used to be modern. Then it got post modern. And then they liked the posts so much that they never stopped posting. I’m talking about the internet now. But that wasn’t the whole problem. By then we also had the TV and the movies and the books and everything else trying to ruin everything. And at some point God looked down to his son Jesus and said to him, “Well, crazy son.”
“Yes, crazy father?” Answered Jesus, to his dad, God.
“Get me my hammer, crazy son.” Said his dad, God.
This is a radio show about that. About when culture really got out of hand. I’m talking about 1975 through 2000 or so. And since, look, just calm down, this is only a radio show. So we’re only going to just listen to the music and try to imagine what it was like to really be there. Use your imaginations!
