Open Source RVA presents:

THE SOURCE IS OPEN!! On Friday’s rousing edition of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, we talk all about the proposed Virginia Domestic Workers Bill of Rights with Alexsis Rodgers, state director for the non-profit Care in Action. This legislation could affect more than 60,000 workers across Virginia. it seeks to include domestic workers in all existing state workplace protections, and is now making its way through the Virginia state house. We also present a rebroadcast of our interview with Adele Johnson, the executive director of the Black History Museum & Cultural Center. The museum’s powerful Slavery at Jefferson’s Monticello: Paradox of Liberty Exhibit is on display now and runs thru April 18. We also have a brand new installment of Curtain Call, our bi-weekly look at Richmond’s thriving theatre scene, produced by the Richmond Theatre Critics Circle. This week, reviewers Rich Griset, Julinda D. Lewis and Jerry Williams discuss “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead” (Quill Theatre), “Stupid Kid” (Firehouse Theatre) and “Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad” (Virginia Repertory Theatre Children’s Theatre). IT’S A SOURCE TO REMEMBER!! The memories start at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM and http://wrir.org.
