WE HAVE A PLAN!! On Friday’s purposeful edition of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, we talk about the new Evergreen Restoration Plan with Viola Baskerville, Marilyn Campbell and John Mitchell — three of the volunteer “Evergreen Angels.” The historic Evergreen Cemetery (Richmond, Virginia) has battled years of neglect, but thanks to new laws, grant money and the tireless work of community helpers, a plan for its restoration will be unveiled on Saturday at 10AM at the Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site. We also present a rebroadcast of our interview with Alex Verno and Michael Murphy of DJs For Lovers, a mobile disc jockey service that caters to wedding parties. They’ll tell you why, when it comes to love, tunes matter. AND we also feature a particularly disturbing installment of the Quick and Dirty Council Roundup, produced by RVA Dirt’s Melissa Vaughn.
