Open Source RVA presents:

THE FRIDAY THE 13TH SOURCE IS CURSED, OF COURSE! On this “breaking news” edition of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, we talk about Friday’s Gallery5 live debut of Caverns Of Pine, a ambitious music project and art exhibit hat explores the ways in which people process trauma associated with sexual violence. Brad Perry, Caverns of Pine’s band leader, joins us to talk about this unique album, and live show, which also features BIG NO, VV and Unmaker. And get ready with that hand sanitizer! We also have a more dirty than quick installment of the Quick & Dirty Council Roundup, presented by the always deliberative and clean Melissa Vaughn of RVA Dirt. And, yes, we also talk about The 27th Annual James River Film Fest with festival organizers Michael Jones and Coleman Jennings. ALAS IT WAS JUST ANNOUNCED THAT THE FESTIVAL HAS BEEN CANCELLED. Screenings are to be rescheduled for later in the year. So hold that thought. Listen to this jinxed Source at noon on WRIR 97.3 fm Richmond Independent Radio and http://wrir.org.
