Wide Ear Folk/Life is a Mixtape presents:
A little subgenere in the folk universe-songs in the folk tradition coupled with electronica arrangements. Credited to bands like Ultramarine, Tunng and Four-Tet, singer-songwriters as “traditional” as Steve Earle have been coupling their melodies and chord changes to beats and synthesizers for the last 25 years. Today’s show is collection of these musical mash ups. Enjoy. For what it’s worth, I hear a lot of Nick Drake influences in this music-so we’ll hear from him in the show tonight too. Otto
