Open Source RVA presents:

THE STATE OF OUR STAGES. On Friday’s Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, we present a special report on the effects of the COVID-19 quarantine on Richmond-area theatre. Produced and hosted by Jerry Williams, this show-length edition of Curtain Call gets the lowdown on Richmond Quarantine Theatre, and features interviews with Jacqueline O’Connor about “Legends At Home,” and Scott Garka of CultureWorks Richmond about the COVID-19 Artists Relief Fund. Jerry also checks in with representatives from every local professional theatre company in the Richmond area  — Joel Bassin (Firehouse Theatre), Deejay Gray (TheatreLAB). Anna Senechal Johnson (Cadence Theatre Company), Steven Koehler (Swift Creek Mill Theatre), Carol Androski Piersol (5th Wall Theatre). Lucian Restivo (Richmond Triangle Players at the Robert B. Moss Theatre), James Ricks (Quill Theatre), Vickie Lynn Scallion (HATTheatre). Nathaniel Shaw (Virginia Repertory Theatre) and Charles Wax (Chamberlayne Actors Theatre). The show will highlight the productions that were affected, how those involved with shows have been compensated, how theatre staffs have been impacted, and what each theatre is doing to ensure their future viability. FIND OUT ON THIS SPECIAL CURTAIN CALL! Open Source RVA is Richmond’s audio news digest, and heard Fridays at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM and http://wrir.org
