Wide Ear Folk/Life is a Mixtape presents:
Every so often I hear an artist that has been around but that I entirely missed in their first flush of “notoriety”. My latest example – Alexi Murdoch. With a sound like Nick Drake time shifted to the early 2000’s, this half Scot/Half Greek writes and sings gorgeous wintery music. I suspect he’s a main stay in many singer songwriter Spotify playlists, but I just heard him this past weekend.
So with that humbling, he’s being worked into today’s show of joyful chestnuts. Definitely a show of my personal favs. Muisc comfort food. Goes good with Alexi Murdoch. Enjoy. Otto
