Open Source RVA presents:

THIS SOURCE IS PLUGGED IN!! On Friday’s eventful edition of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, we talk with Tracey Mclean. the local business owner running to become Richmond’s next Mayor. She speaks about her message of inclusion and collaboration, and her lawsuit to lessen signature requirements for candidates during the pandemic. We also talk to Gary Broderick, legislative coordinator for RISE for Youth, an organization which advocates for incarcerated youth offenders. Chesterfield’s Bon Air Correctional Facility has become a hotbed for the coronavirus, But RISE for Youth has been pushing to have non-violent youth offenders released from the facility for months. So why are officials still dragging their feet? IS THAT ALL? NO! Krysti, Olivia and I also argue about the truly important things during this period of quarantine, like who ate the kale chips and what happened to the TV remote! TRY OUR SECRET SOURCE! Listen Friday noon on WRIR 97.3 FM and http://wrir.org.
