Open Source RVA presents:

THERE’S NO BUSINESS LIKE SOURCE BUSINESS!! On Friday’s tuneful edition of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, we talk with singer, actress and educator Ali Thibodeau, who has just released a debut album as Deau Eyes called “Let It Leave.” Among other things, we talk to his creative whirlwind about her LP’s successful crowdfunding campaign, the DIY music videos that accompany the Deau Eyes album, and how she honed her entertainment chops singing country songs on cruise ships. We also speak with Prabir Mehta. chairman of the board at Gallery5. During the pandemic crisis, Gallery5 has launched a Patreon campaign to stay afloat, and has been offering regular Facebook and Instagram live music events, and will start featuring its gallery art online in June. We also feature a brand new installment of Curtain Call, produced by the Richmond Theatre Critics Circle. This week, critics Susie Hirsch Haubenstock, Julinda D. Lewis, Claire Boswell and Jerry Williams talk about the shows they wanted to see that were slated for later this season. KRYSTI AND DON ALSO OPEN UP THE OPEN SOURCE RVA MAILBAG! Be afraid, be very afraid. Friday at noon on WRIR 97.3 fm Richmond Independent Radio and http://wrir.org.
