Open Source RVA presents:

POLITICS, DRAMA AND SUMMER CAMP! On Friday’s packed-to-the-gills edition of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, we feature an interview with Elaine Summerfield, the creator of WRIR’s “Inspire Indeed” and a candidate for the open 3rd district Richmond City Council seat being vacated by Chris Hilbert. The community volunteer talks about unifying the district, police reform and accountability, and her goal of getting rid of the A.P. Hill statue. We also pull back the drapes on a brand new installment of Curtain Call, produced by the Richmond Theatre Critics Circle. This week, the critics talk to the founding Artistic Directors of two just-merged theatre companies — Dr. Tawnya Pettiford-Wates of The Conciliation Project and TheatreLAB’s Deejay Gray. BUT THAT’S NOT ALL! We also welcome the no-holds-barred return of RVA Dirt’s Quick and Dirty Council Roundup, presented by Melissa Vaughn, and hear a special report about the year 2020 produced and narrated by the 4th and 5th graders at the Child Development Center At Wyndham summer camp. SUNTAN LOTION AND MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS ONE! Grab a floaty and tune in on Friday at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM and http://wrir.org.
