Monday Breakfast Blend – Women Art Revolution presents:

This morning’s show is entirely made up of intro tracks from metal albums. I’m a metal fan, and I’ve always had a particular soft spot for intro tracks. It’s interesting to me that a considerable chunk of the catalog of recorded metal out there is made up of what are really ambient/experimental tracks — some tracks that are just spoken word, some that are essentially field recordings, sounds of wind, etc.; some that are impenetrable flurries of noise, some that include snippets of folk.
