Open Source RVA presents:
A SOARING SOURCE!! On Friday’s fast-paced installment of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, Don Harrison welcomes award-winning actor, poet and theatre director DL Hopkins. The Richmond native talks about his early days as a standup comic, explains what “jazz acting” is, and talks about writing a screenplay for Cadence Theatre Company’s Sitelines BLM short film series. THEN on the latest edition of “The Next 400,” Mike Kemetic talks to Gina Lyles of the cultural organizing project, Performing Statistics, She talks about advocating for incarcerated youth, and what reformers often get wrong when lending assistance to at-risk young people. AND on another dramatic installment of Curtain Call, Jerry Williams discusses Firehouse Theatre’s production of “Krapp’s Last Tape” with actor Alan Sader and director James Ricks. Oh, and the Source’s studio phone number unfortunately falls in the hands of a QAnon chat room. Not good. GET YERSELF SOURCED at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM and wrir.org.
