On Friday’s special edition of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, guest host Brice Maddox, aka B-Rice of WRIR’s “Mid-Atlantic Jams,” presents the first installment of an epic, two-part conversation with three hometown heroes: The Z Rock Crew’s legendary ElBravador and Anthony DJ Fresh Walker (pictured), and veteran MC and music historian Jay Quan. This formidable trio talk about everything from important radio stations like WANT and WKIE to the early Richmond hip-hop scene to those historic old-school tours that played the RIchmond Coliseum to he origins of crate digging in the River City.
