Open Source RVA presents:

THE SOURCE, OF COURSE! On Friday’s eventful edition of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, we welcome Ed Miller, a member of Richmond’s Civilian Review Board Task Force. He tells us about the task force’s public survey that asks residents to weigh in on a proposed citizen review board of Richmond’s police department, and what the public has been saying so far. AND PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR! We also present Part Two of Brice Maddox’s epic conversation about the history of Richmond hip hop and urban radio with The Z Rock Crew’s ElBravador and Anthony DJ Fresh Walker, and veteran MC and music historian Jay Quan. THANKS AGAIN TO BRICE FOR ORCHESTRATING THIS TUNEFUL TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE! We also have a brand new installment of Curtain Call, produced by the Richmond Theatre Critics Circle. In this one, FIVE — yes, the full slate — RVA reviewers tackle Virginia Repertory Theatre’s “Ella and Her Fella Frank” and two of them talk about “Twelfth Night” at Quill Theatre’s Richmond Shakespeare Festival. It’s Summertime and the living is… very hot. COOL DOWN WITH THIS SOURCE! Friday noon on WRIR 97.3 FM and wrir.org.https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HVWDG85?fbclid=IwAR1rV0I93EqPJRwfDfRKVdoaZoc8yClQoh5ezAkh0KMu-fSCdl15R4dhy7c
