Cause and Effect presents:

A celebration of the career of legendary radio host Casey Kasum whose iconic “Long Distance Dedication” was broadcast by over 1000 radio stations in 50 countries around the world.  If you listened to radio in the 1970’s, 80’s and 90’s you knew his distinctive voice.  The originator of the American Top 40 radio program Casey taught us all to count backward to 40. His long-distance dedications left each of us to wonder whether our own unrequited love would remain unresolved while we kept “our feet on the ground and reached for the stars.”

Casey Kasem was the original host American Top 40, which premiered 50 July 4th, 1970.
