DON”T CALL IT A RERUN, CALL IT A REDISCOVERY! On Friday’s special rebroadcast of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, Don and Krysti welcome Prabir Mehta and Kelli Strawbridge of Prabir Trio. They talk about the group’s exciting and provocative new album, HAANJI, an autobiographical set of songs that explores Prabir’s Indian-American roots. HAANJI drops next week but you can hear a preview on Friday’s show. We also talk with Zachary Reid, former Richmond Times-Dispatch reporter and the owner of Richmond Art Garage, a new visual arts gallery that brings local, national and international artists and photographers to Northside. The Garage opens its May exhibit tonight, “The Human Experience,” a series of photographs by Thong Nguyen and Christian Johnson, with accompanying music from violinist Ellen Cockerham Riccio  We also have another dramatic edition of Curtain Call, our bi-weekly look at the Richmond theatre scene, produced by the Richmond Theatre Critics Circle. This week, Susie Hirsch Haubenstock, Julinda D. Lewis and Jerry Williams review “4000 Days” at Richmond Triangle Players. A SHOW SO NICE WE AIRED IT TWICE!
