Open Source RVA presents:

FESTIVAL FEVER!! On Friday’s Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, we talk about the Richmond International Film Festival with its founder and director Heather Waters. She tells us about the can’t-miss screenings and music showcases happening in venues across town thru Sunday — including The Byrd Theatre, Movieland at Boulevard Square and Hardywood Park Craft Brewery. We also chat with Cameron Kit, the director of a new film playing the festival called “Chlorine.” The host of WRIR’s “They Came From Outer Space” talks about being a young moviemaker on the film fest circuit, and gives us an update on her forthcoming WRIR-related “Sister Radio Project” documentary. All of that PLUS the tireless Noah Page, the host of WRIR’s Secret Bonus Level, who drops by to talk about the vibrant Richmond hip-hop and rap scene, and give out details on the Secret Bonus Level Live concert series happening FREE this month at Starr Hill Richmond Beer Hall & Rooftop. THE SOURCE IS ON! Friday at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM and wrir.org.
