Open Source RVA presents:

FASHION, FAMILY & FOOTLIGHTS! On Friday’s fabulous edition of Open Source RVA  heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, Don Harrison and Krysti Albus get the lowdown on the 13th annual RVA FASHION WEEK — and the first year of RVA Sneaker Fest — with Heather Marie Speaks, Miss Virginia for America 2021 and Kemonte Broadnax, the owner of Sneakermap. Starting Oct. 4th, RVA FASHION WEEK will offer seven colorful days of fashions, designs, art, photography and tennis shoes. THEN Dina Weinstein talks with Jenny Morand, Richmond-area organizer for Save the Children Action Network- Virginia, and Krysta Jones of the Virginia Promise Partnership, about a joint campaign that advocates for pro-family legislation like paid parental leave and childcare. We also present another installment of Curtain Call, our bi-weekly look at Richmond theatre produced by the Richmond Theatre Critics Circle. This week is crammed with four reviews of area shows. Julie Turner, Julinda D. Lewis, Susie Hirsch Haubenstock, Claire Boswell and Jerry Williams review “Every Brilliant Thing” (The Illuminated Stage Theatre Company), “Small Mouth Sounds” (Cadence Theatre Company), “Vincent River” (Richmond Triangle Players at the Robert B. Moss Theatre) and “War in Pieces” (Firehouse Theatre). TOO MUCH SOURCE!?? C’mon, you can handle it. Friday noon on WRIR 97.3 FM and wrir.org.
