The Church of the Ecstatic presents:
Tonight we’re getting jazzy out here – Yoko Kanno’s Cowboy Bebop soundtrack has long been one of my favorite soundtracks – or even just albums – of all time. Watching the new adaptation on Netflix – with Kanno and her Seatbelts returning for the soundtrack – inspired this show. Of course, I can’t just play the whole thing over the air, thanks to FCC rules – so I looked into some of the inspirations. Bebop, samba, bossa nova, Japanese jazz… I’m learning a lot, dipping into genres I’m not so familiar with. Hope you enjoy!
See you next week, Space Cowboy
