YOUR PARTY SOURCE! On Friday’s April Fools edition of Open Source RVA, we ain’t foolin’ around! Don Harrison talks with Shannon Cleary about WRIR’s Party for the Rest Of Us at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery on Saturday. Running from 2-9PM, it’s a free, daylong, indoor and outdoor celebration with a diverse lineup of local bands (booked by Cleary, host of The Commonwealth of Notions) helping us blow out the candles on the station’s 17th birthday. Dina Weinstein also welcomes Hannah Standford, co-founder of Rumput, Richmond’s only Keroncong group performing the folk music of Indonesia (as well as selections from Appalachia). She’ll talk about the group’s performance at the Firehouse Theatre on Saturday, the premiere of a collaborative shadow play based on the Minotaur myth. IT’S NOT A TRICK!
