Thanks for all you do for Jazz! Please play some music in honor of the late, great pianist/vocalist Donald Smith of Richmond VA – younger brother of Lonnie Liston Smith and a fixture on the Harlem/New York scene for decades. His hypnotic voice and multi-instrumental talents can be heard on recordings by Lester Bowie, Oliver Lake, Craig Harris and of course Lonnie Liston Smith’s Cosmic Echoes. Bright Moments…gone…but not forgotten.
