The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit/Nighttime Maneuvers presents:
Hey Listeners,
What do Dick Campbell, Barry McGuire, David Blue, Loudon Wainwright III, John Prine, Bruce Springsteen, Elliott Murphy, Steve Forbert, Willie Nile, Patti Smith, and Kristan Matsson (aka The Tallest Man on Earth) all have in common – they were all hailed as the “next Dylan”. Well we all know there is no next Dylan. He is one of a kind, but tonight as Part 2 of my Dylan extravaganza we’ll explore the tracks of those artists that had the (un) fortunate moniker of “next Dylan”. Some have transcended the name and others have fell way short and are mere footnotes.
