We have other songs from rare albums by Choc Stars, Assi Kapela and another cut, by request from an African All Stars album recorded in Benin and led by Dizzy Mandjeku.

  • Anastasio-Tomas Esono Ada says:

Hey David, i have another request for the next time. Do you have the song “JR Masera” please ?

  • Ethan says:

Hi David, great show as usual yesterday! Can you please give me the name of the Nyboma/Innovation number you played as the 3rd entry? Starting from around 15 min in. It’s not the number that’s listed on the website and you didn’t say the name on the show. Wonderful 6/8 number! Thanks in advance!

  • David Noyes says:

What???? What album are you talking about?

  • Anastasio-Tomas Esono Ada says:

Mopao Mokonzi Koffi Olomide along with Sam Mangwana also in this album.

  • Anastasio-Tomas Esono Ada says:

Oh i heard Titina Alcapone animating. The late Ocean of Quartier Latin also participate on this album and that of Fara Fara (Unite Congolaise and Tout feu, tout flamme).

  • Anastasio-Tomas Esono Ada says:

People had to choice Between Trop c’est trop or Ere de Verite, both albums of the Clan Extra were a huge succes at that time (Trop c’est trop was released towards the end of 2001 when Roga and co were already back in Brazzaville, except Oxygène stayed in France for some months).

  • Anastasio-Tomas Esono Ada says:

Awilo on his side released in 2008 an album called Super Man, but it went nowhere until he decided to stop with music.

  • Anastasio-Tomas Esono Ada says:

Only 2 persons were together in Extra Musica (Regis & Durel). Regis only sung in Confirmation.

  • David Noyes says:

Went down? Went to world disco music?

  • Anastasio-Tomas Esono Ada says:

Durel was a Rhythm guitarist but in Extra Musica International and Z1 International he played lead.

  • Anastasio-Tomas Esono Ada says:

Je suis d’allemagne, i am from Germany (Berlin). But it wasn’t Extra Musica but yeah some were in Extra until Ouragan (Regis didn’t sing on Ouragan).

  • Anastasio-Tomas Esono Ada says:

Mondongo was his last succesfull albums before he went down.

  • David Noyes says:

It has a reference to Josky’s song from OK Jazz years.

  • Anastasio-Tomas Esono Ada says:

Ya Ben, Ya Def, ba misusu bakufaki

  • Anastasio-Tomas Esono Ada says:

The song Alita got already leaked 2 last year on the Website before the release of the album.

  • Anastasio-Tomas Esono Ada says:

I even laughed and jumped because of Gloria Tukhadio on that song. That part: “Guy Guy, France la congolaise, Manu Luvaka”. So funny.

  • David Noyes says:

It’s such a great album. Thanks for your comment.

  • Anastasio-Tomas Esono Ada says:

Me also vieux na ngai Socrate, i heard Guy Malo many times on my phone.

  • SK says:

I agree, Ushuaia’s such a great album. What are your favourite songs? Mine are Arrestation, Guy Malo and Kunde Lupin.
