Half & Half: Papa Grows Funk and Marva Wright!
For years I’ve (mostly) played an eclectic mix of music representing various genres of NOLA and Louisiana music. Last week, on the occasion the release of Dr. John’s final studio album, I dedicated the whole 2 hours to his music. Your response was great, and I’ve decided to try something new for a while. Going forward I’ll dedicate the first hour to one artist, and the second hour to another artist. These will be musicians who have an extensive catalog and play a variety of styles, or at lease slow and fast tracks! In this way I hope to present a “deeper dive” into the music of each artist with the idea of opening up new sounds to our audience. Hope you enjoy this new Half & Half music series!
