Open Source RVA presents:

BOOKS, BONES & BEER WITH MOVIES! On Friday’s expansive edition of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, Dina Weinstein talks with the Virginia Library Association’s Executive Director Lisa Varga about the new state policy requiring school boards to identify and restrict classroom instructional materials based on alleged sexually explicit content – and how that policy is prompting calls for censorship across the commonwealth. THEN Don Harrison welcomes back Jameson Price, the founder/curator of Silent / Music Revival, happening tonight at Basic City Beer Co- in Manchester. The long-running (free) silent film showcase will feature a program of short holiday movies starring Santa, with the soundtrack provided by the band Paint on It. ALL of that PLUS Goad Gatsby takes us to Monday’s grand dismantling, and de-boning, of Richmond’s A.P. Hill statue. IT’S THE SOURCE, OF COURSE! Listen Friday noon on WRIR 97.3 FM and wrir.org.
