Open Source RVA presents:

FARMS, FUNK & DIABOLICAL MAILBOXES! On Friday’s fruitful edition of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3FM, Don Harrison talks with Duron L Chavis, the founder and director of Happily Natural Day. He tells us about Bensley Agrihood, a bold new affordable housing initiative in Chesterfield. Along with the organization Girls for a Change, and the Maggie Walker Community Land Trust, Happily Natural is spurring on this unusual merging of agriculture and low-cost housing. AND HOW ABOUT SOME SELF-PROMOTION! We also welcome Open Source RVA’s own Chuck Moore, to talk about his funky new Thursday radio show on WRIR, Quantum Live Radio. We talk about his days hosting the overnight jazz show at WCLM, his wild and wooly times at Continental Cable access, and shoot the shoot about the art of music deejaying. BUT THAT’S NOT ALL! Our special correspondent Goad Gatsby files another special report from the current General Assembly session. This time, Goad tries to wrap his head around Va. Senator Amanda Chase’sĀ assertion that mailboxes are evil and not to be trusted. Ooookay. IT’S YOUR SOURCE, OF COURSE! Friday noon on WRIR 97.3 FM andĀ wrir.org.
