Alternative Milestones Episode 53 – Happy Anniversary!
It’s unbelievable to me that my first Alternative Milestones show on WRIR was on Feb 1, 2024. It’s been a fantastic year getting involved with this beautiful station and once again I thank everyone who supports it in any way.
As for this week’s show, there’s lots of old-timers represented – 6 artists who released albums in the double-digits including a 17th album! I’ve got a fun story about The Stone Roses to tell you about, I’ve got a song that I learned some new stuff about which I’m excited to pass along. There’s an in Memoriam from the Canadian hardcore punk band D.O.A. and a bunch of other great tunes to celebrate the history of alternative music.
