WRIR-LP 97.3 FM broadcasts news, views and music that would otherwise be unrepresented on the public airwaves. The programming schedule covers seven days a week, 24 hours a day. WRIR also serves as the official emergency broadcast outlet for the City of Richmond, Virginia.

The station is staffed and operated by volunteers. All music programming is locally produced by volunteers. News and talk programming is a combination of locally produced and syndicated programs.
