Time Again Radio Show presents:
Hey Listeners,
I am excited to be covering for Zak on the Time Again Radio Show. I’m going to be featuring original or at the very least early recordings of songs from Jerry Garcia’s songbook – either in the Dead, as a solo artist, with Old and In the Way, in various side projects like JGB, or as so nicely documented in a recent box set – Before The Dead – in various line-ups before he ever founded the Dead.
It was the perfect confluence of events. First I bought the aforementioned new box set. The Zak asked me to cover on the verge of the week plus period known to Deadheads and The Days In Between (Jerry’s birthday 8/1 and the anniversary of his death 8/9). Finally it just seemed right because I caught a convert at Meriwether Post Pavilion this past weekend and I had not seen a show there since the Dead in summer ’84.
It’s gonna be a lot of fun. Keep it tuned here.
