Open Source RVA presents:

VEGAN CHEESE, WEDDING TUNES AND KIND DONATIONS! On Friday’s fun-raising edition of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, Piet E Jones retuns with a cheesy installment of his Open Face food segment. Piet talks with with Josh Kadrich of UnMoo, a Richmond company that creates vegan cheese so delicious that it makes you rethink the whole concept of simulated dairy. And are you planning to get hitched? You’ll want to talk to Michael Murphy and Alex Verno, the guys behind DJs for Lovers, a mobile disc jockey service that specializes in wedding receptions. (Michael is also the longtime host of WRIR’s Mellow Madness.) They’ll tell you why that special day is too important to leave to the drunken brother-in-law’s Spotify mix. We also have a brand new Curtain Call segment, produfed by the Richmond Theatre Critics Circle. This week, critics Rich Griset, Julinda D. Lewis and Jerry Williams discuss “Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” at Virginia Repertory Theatre, and 5th Wall Theatre’s “Lost Boy at Whole Foods.” BUT THA”TS NOT ALL! Krysti and Don also remind you of what a dystopian media landscape Richmond had BEFORE WRIR came on the scene. Please donate to the station’s semi-regular Fund Drive, happening now. Call 622-9747 or visit the cloud at http://wrir.org to help us keep Richmond Independent Radio on the air! We don’t ever want to return back to THOSE days. Listen Friday noon on WRIR 97.3 fm Richmond Independent Radio and http:/wrir.org.
