PANDEMIC #014: The Roots Carry the Stone feat. YESH (NYC, PIQUE)

YESH is a singer/multi-faceted artist hailing out of NYC, and her most recent singles (“Glass” & “Amala”) have been two of my favorites of the most recent months or so. Before things got weird, I reached out to Mountain from PIQUE to get ahold and to my humble amazement YESH agreed. The result is mind bending. The mix– entitled “The Roots Carry the Stone”– features an all-femme roster, circling the globe at least once, touching upon all things genre from modern classical to boom-bap to underground house.

The show also tips its hat to Bill Withers, and features new work from Lingua Ignota, Irreversible Entanglements, Isabella + Felicia Atkinson, and more.
